Scott Grizzle was born in 1971 in Gainesville, Georgia to parents that raised him to know God. Scott’s dad was lay minister and children’s pastor until accepting the pastorate of a church plant in Oakwood Georgia. “Our entire family was involved in ministry and had to fill almost every position. This experience shaped my faith and life as I watched my mom and dad labor together building the church.” In 1991, Scott enlisted into the military and began a career that would lead him far away from home and family. In Iceland, Scott re-dedicated his life to God who set his heart toward home and toward the Christian roots that he had been taught as a child. In 1997, when he arrived back home God began preparing Scott for the work of the ministry and he began preaching at his dad’s church and other local churches. In 1999, Scott felt God was calling him to move to Chattanooga, Tennessee. “It was strange to feel God calling me to an area where I knew absolutely no one! But I remember finally crying out to God and telling him that I would go wherever he led me”. That same year he met his future wife Linda. In 2000, Scott and Linda were married and have been together ever since. Scott and Linda have been involved with ministry almost from the beginning of their marriage. They began as volunteers assisting the youth pastor of Ocoee Church of God and were later appointed as youth pastors. In 2002, Scott was invited to preach at an inter-denominational church in Ringgold, Georgia. They were offered a youth pastor position and accepted later that year. Scott and Linda had an opportunity to really grow and develop as pastors and leaders. In 2004, Scott was ordained and appointed as the Assistant Pastor. In this role he had the opportunity to help develop leaders and felt a passion to encourage, equip, and empower people to serve God. In March of 2008, God asked Scott and Linda to step out on faith to pursue the vision of the ministry he had placed in their hearts. God moved on the hearts of other like minded believers and Harvest Fellowship was born.
